You think it will drop after release? CNET doesn't seem to think so, at least not for a few months. The $1444 is only about $50 cheaper than retail of $1497 like ABT and Sears.
Wish it had the infinite black for better bright room performance.
Going by the current drop in S60 prices from pre-order to now I do think it will drop. However once the prices stabilize - in other words once they are shipping, i dont think they will change too much. I have been monitoring Panasonic EPP site for 4 years. This is my experience.
Even when the models become old and are cheaper elsewhere, epp will have these prices.
If you add the 65S60 to your cart- you will notice two discounts of 10% and 15%. Its possible that the 10% additional discount is temporary?
Great post, it looks like several of their models are less expensive than even a few days ago. I've been eyeing the 55ST60 for a while now and it clocked in at 1125 today. Even with taxes it's still very close to where the outgoing 55ST50 was when it was on sale at 1199. You even get two pairs of 3-D glasses this year. In for one! Thanks OP!
