All that stuff is probably what will be in the GOTY edition, minus the Mech maybe. There's still one more DLC that is yet to be released which is covered by the season pass. There is also another character coming out that isn't going to be covered by the season pass either.

$4 is reasonable. I wouldn't pay $10 for just a character. The Mech is pretty bada.. I did my first run though with the siren and now doing another run with the Mech and trying to get through the 3 DLCs. @ lvl 50 the Deathtrap is just nuts, heck even at lvl 36 that I'm at now DT is pretty deadly and useful.

The Mechromancer's action skill is to summon a robot companion that will use melee attacks which are very powerful. As far as I can tell the robot is at a higher level than my own mechromancer. It's very useful for getting through lower levels, but as I'm only level 14 with that character I have yet to see if the skill trees are useful at high levels. At very high levels (45+) I'm told that the game starts to break down as you need "legendary" weapons at your current level to have a fighting chance. The higher level you reach in the game, the less useful guns at levels below your current level become. You have to play through a second time in "true vault hunter" mode to get guns that drop at levels over ~30. I finished the main game at level 34, and then started the DLCs on your my original playthrough. I was disappointed to find the Pirate DLC very easy and with useless gun drops. However, if you work on the Pirate DLC before reaching level 30 the gun drops will be very generous and useful in completing the main game.

The Torgue campaign is not bad, although the area outside the arena itself is very hostile due to constant respawns of annoying enemies. It has perhaps 20 enemy spawn areas! It's as annoying as Far Cry 2.

The authors of the Game Hunter DLC are sadistic. The DLC is impossibly hard. I decided I wasn't having any fun after half an hour. (I don't have any legendary weapons and I don't want to spend 10 hours to farm them.) It could have been the best DLC but the game balance is so far off I don't think I'll get to enjoy it.

I was just telling a friend a few hours ago that Borderlands 2 needs to go on sale for $15 so that I could justify buying it. Looks like somebody out there heard me!

I tried 2 different credit cards (one of them i used to purchase a different game on GMG only a couple of weeks ago and worked), and paypal. Still cannot check out. called CC company and they said they saw no issues on their end, didn't even see the transaction come through so they can't even deny anything, and they noted that I'm trying to make a purchase on GMG. Still doesn't work.

Did ANYONE get it to work?

If you buy this from greenmangaming, how does the multiplayer work? I have this on PS3 and was thinking of getting it for PC as well but figured I would do it through Steam to access that multiplayer community. If you get it from greenmangaming or Gamefly for that matter, who are you playing with on multiplayer? Also, I assume that this is not like Portal 2 where the PC players can play with console players?

edited to add: I clicked through to greenman gaming and think I answered my own question: on the greenman site for the main game it says "Third party DRM: Steam This game requires a free Steam account to play."

All versions of the game use steam, doesn't matter where you buy it from.

I'm having the same problem. It appears to be all kinds of broken.

Oh well. I'll wait for the GoTY.

Originally tried credit card and that didn't work, but Paypal just worked for me.
