I think game looks great. But, with always on DRM I won't spend more than $10 since they will shutdown servers eventually and I won't be able to play anymore.

I am having a great time with it too! At first I was put off by the city size, but it actually makes it more fun because you can concentrate on perfecting your city and building it up instead of out! I can't see myself going back to Sim City 4 even though I love that game, this game is so much fun! I will admit I couldn't play it the first 2 days because there were no servers available, but ever since day 3 I've played it with no issues. There are a few bugs sometimes where Trade Depots malfunction, but I've found ways to get it working again. And also, it's a lot of fun building regions with friends and competing against them or working together with them to build an awesome region. My experience so far has been very positive!

Unfortunately the free game I chose was Need For Speed and that game has loads of server issues, where I haven't been able to play multiplayer for more than 10 minutes without getting kicked out.

It looks like that some of the Win/Mac games available are able to download as a combo on Origin's store. Example: Sims 3 [origin.com]

However, I am not sure they will honor the fact that you bought the Windows Only version and let you also download the Mac version when it comes out. My instincts tell me they will make you pay for it again. I'd recommend waiting until the Mac versions comes out and see if they offer the combo like Sims 3, Dragon Age 2, and other on their store. Just my opinion though...

Edit: I saw you said "Physical Copy", in that case I would venture a guess and say they would make you buy it again. Not sure on the digital download though, better chance but still am doubting it since the Mac version wasn't available when you would buy it.

Been playing also. I got it on launch day but just loaded up this week to play. So tired of hearing the whining. The bugs I can understand. But they've announced since day one it would require an always on connection. (Wonder how many people won't buy the new xbox once they announce the same). The city size was there in beta and everyone knew about that too. I've played for a little and I like it so far. Even loaded up Simcity 4 just to take a stroll down how it used to be. Just like other popular EA games they'll release a patch eventually that will make it available offline, once the popularity dies down and they don't wanna maintain the servers anymore.

I am enjoying it as well. Outside of the first few days I have had no issues.

i wish there was more variety once you start maxing your city out. I am making millions a day and have a acropolis.

Don't waste your money. I bought this came for full price on launch date and the launch of the game was terrible and unplayable. Once they got the servers up, I realized the game is really a dead end. You get to the point where you set the game on cheetah (fast speed) mode and just spectate... It gets pretty boring after you play for about 10 hours...

Luckily, Amazon let me return it for full refund. It was the first game I've ever wanted to or had to return...

If you can benefit from the free game, especially dead space 3 ($40+ value itself) , then it's worth it imo.
other than the DRM issue the game has potential, I'm just waiting for someone to mod it so no more online and larger city sizes.
