I've never ordered from GMG before. I take it they have their own client and "PC Digital Download only through Green Man Gaming" means that you have to have their client installed to download/run the game? I'd rather not have to have anything other than Steam installed if possible...can you uninstall the GMG stuff after downloading the games?

I think it would be better to maybe wait two years and get this game bundled with all the DLC is on a steam sale 75% off which might only be like 10 or 15 bucks. You just know that they are going to try to milk this game with DLC's. Yes you had to wait two years but in that time there are plenty of games to play just let your steam backlog. Games are getting cheaper and cheaper and in the developers are pushing out better and better games with greater variety that don't really see the need to pay that much money let alone to preorder at full price for a AAA title anymore.
Right now the gaming market is so packed full of titles that you really can't play all the games in your lifetime. And plus the amount of time you put into a game can vary greatly and just because you played your game and can claim that "you finished it" doesn't really justify that you move on to the next game because you can always take more time to explore that initial game. I remember when I was a kid and all I had was one copy of Zelda for my super Nintendo and that was the only game I had. I spent so many hours on that game that I got so much value out of it. If I played every game like that then I would not be up to play my favorite games in my lifetime because I would have to put more than enough time into each game and I just don't have that much time. That's I really don't get why people still have to buy games when they come out when there's so many great games at discounted price. But I'm not really judging you I'm just offering my perspective you can do whatever you want of course with your money. If this was around the time that Duke Nukem 3-D came out then I may actually pay the full price for it because there weren't any other good titles on the market at the time and the one or two that were there I already play through. But today's gaming market is so populated that I can't really justify prepurchase aura purchase for more than $20. |
