I just can't wrap my head around $25 AR mags, even in this climate which is getting better every day.

My thoughts exactly....this is a terrible deal...especially in the light of bulk ordering.

Are these actually made and distributed by Colt Industries or are they some unknown 3rd party supplier ? I guess what I really mean is, would these be mil-spec (real mil-spec) and equivalent to what Colt would supply with a DOD order ?

You guys think the PMAGS will come down later, or is the CO thing going to keep the prices high for some time? I got some of the aluminum D&H mags from PSA last month for about $17 a piece. They look pretty good, PSA has been pretty good for me, sent them to CA as a kit, which is awesome IMO!

I have 3 of the D&H mags from PSA as well and they look awesome. I also have a couple of PMAGs. With that being said, this might actually be a good deal. I say that because ever since they got rid of the "assault weapons" ban from the bill that is being pushed through congress, I have a feeling that it might actually pass. If it does pass then we won't be able to legally purchase any new 30 rd mags

These are Colt mags, not imitation. 100% mil-spec.

Negative comments or "what a terrible deal" don't bother. Try stopping into Academy and seeing Red Jacket Firearms 20 rounders for $26.99, that is a terrible deal.

Noob question here, but do these mags take 5.56 and .223 ammo? I've not got my hand on the ammo yet.

FWIW these are rebranded OKay/NHMTG. Colt doesn't make magazines.

Yes getting spec is worth it. You need it to work when you need it to work if you get my meaning. And if it doesn't then what?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but there's a reason the military moved away from these "mil-spec" aluminum mags. Mil-spec only means they will work with all rifles spec'd out to a military weapon...it does NOT mean it is reliable. These mags may be just fine...or they may not. But do not think just because they are colt and say mil-spec that they are the best mag on the planet. The only mag I've heard nothing but raving about is a PMAG...and this price is pushing even for 10 PMAGs given pre-stupidity price.

OP, I really don't mean any disrespect in all this but this simply isn't a good deal. Sure for someone who needs mags bad and wants to make sure they get some before a ban, go for it...but understand you're paying a premium for timing. I was at a gun show and saw the same mags for $20 each. No bulk buying needed and at a GUN SHOW for crying out loud. If there are 2 places people get gouged, it's a local gun shop and a gun show.

Actually humorously the Army actually banned the use of PMAGs last year - most people theorize that it was some sort of congress lobbying pressure (to funnel money to mil-spec mag contractors), because for all intents and purposes PMAGs are superior to gi-spec mags in nearly every way.
