Yes i am. I'm not from the US and guns are new to me. Only purchased my first hand gun a few weeks ago and took a beginners safety class for that. I don't take ownership of a firearm lightly and try to get advice and info whenever possible. People on this forum have been very helpful and furthered my knowledge on fireams.

I've not seen .223 or 5.56 ammo so i'm not sure how they compare in size etc and i know the AR15 i have takes both rounds so i wasn't sure if they load into the same mags but i am guessing no.

They go in the same magazine, the size difference is negligible
Commercially available 5.56 usually has higher pressures than the .223,
There is a ton of fighting on whether its safe to use a 5.56 round in a .223 chambered rifle is safe or not.

Since you know you can take both, not a big deal
