30" IPS CrystalPro Monitor WQHD 2560x1600 Display Port|HDMI|DVI|Component w/Adjustable stand [monoprice.com]

30" IPS Pro Monitor WQHD 2560x1600 DVI w/Adjustable stand [monoprice.com]

27" IPS LED CrystalPro Monitor WQHD 2560x1440 [monoprice.com]

3 models above, one has all inputs and the other is just a barebones DVI. 27inch is also in stock now!(Edit: OOS again =(

Insane price for a 30inch IPS, and the panel inside is from a "LOWER GRADE" Apple Cinema/HP/Dell. These are grade A-/A panels while Apple/Dell/HP All have A/A+ panels. Get them while they're hot as the 27 inch is already sold out.

Use coupon catalog12 to lower the price noted on the top.

My LG 2600W says you're wrong. It's 26" and running 1920x1200.
lol, I stand corrected. It's so rare to hear of 1200 anymore I forgot.

This is now a 13 page thread and there's only been 2 people who have hit the "I bought this" button. LMAO

I hope we can get some reviews of these monitors from those who purchased.

You're gtx670 aint enough to run this monitor. You'll get 30fps.

Where can you buy a 120hz 2560x1600 monitor at any price?
You can't. The guy's posts are complete nonsense. There's nothing wrong with being ignorant, but there is something wrong with being ignorant and pretending to be an expert. The amount of misinformation in his posts regarding refresh rates, response times, and his description of how we perceive them in modern displays is mindbogglingly inaccurate.

As to the guy who claims a GTX 660 is enough to comfortably play modern games at 2560x1600- you're wrong. 25-30 FPS might be comfortable for you, but it's not comfortable for many, and probably most, people. Who wants to spend $700 on a monitor and $200+ on a video card only to realize that their combination won't allow them to play with comfortable frame rates in modern or future games? Nobody.

No matter how many times you call people idiots or retards, it's not going to make your argument for the GTX 660 make any more sense.

So for a short answer.... what's the minimum card you'd think would be necessary to drive this thing properly? Just for a baseline to know what to look at...

a GTX 670 or the AMD equivalent for a single card setup. SLi 660's for dual cards. i subscribe to the notion that you should always buy the best single card you can afford as oppossed to going SLi... (and i ran SLi GTX 460's for a couple of years).

what andy said. the LEAST i would get would be a 670 or 7950, and that still wouldn't get close to maxxing out this monitors refresh rate on "visually demanding games." i'd recommend crossfired 7970 ghz's and sli'd 680's to get close to doing that because a 680 and 7970 ghz by itself won't do it either. fc3 review [guru3d.com] notice how the 660 gets 17 fps...ouch.

this really isnt a "short answer" answer, unfortunately. different games will perform very different. some peoples definition of "minimum" is 60 fps at ultra with some aa. that is entirely too stringent a definition for me, but don't get it wrong - you can still game on a 660 with this monitor, but you will have to turn off aa and msaa and put the settings lower to get playable fps.

However, I don't recommend someone with a 660 get this monitor. at that point, you've spent 600+ on a monitor, when you could have gotten a korean 27" ips and put the savings toward a better gpu. after selling the 660 and with the savings you could get a 7970 or 680 and have a still very high resolution monitor. BUT you would have a more "future proof" gpu that will perform waaaay better than a 660.

for reference, on fc3 i have an i5 and a 7970 and my frame rates dip below 60 on a 1200p monitor, with the settings on ultra and 4xaa, so i turn aa off. let's not even think about crysis 3...

i have an i7 920 running at 4ghz with a reference EVGA GTX 670 and get 45-55fps in Far Cry 3 on Ultra using FXAA instead of the more demanding MSAA. using 2x MSAA my fps would frequently drop below 45. this is at 2560x1440.

Far Cry 3 is a very demanding game. i also get 100fps in Black Ops 2 with all settings maxed out just to give you an idea how less demanding games run.

Do these have a glossy or matte finish? I glanced at the specs on the site but didn't see any mention.
I verified with their product support: glossy finish. Mad

So has anyone here actually ordered and received the monitor? Thinking about getting this or the Crossover 30 Pro Black from ebay.

Also can anyone confirm if you can use Squaretrade warranty on the Korean monitors from Ebay?

squaretrade only asks for ebay id number when you start a warranty purchases so i assume so.

The cheapest korean 30" on ebay right now is a Yamakasi Sparta for $500 shipped.

It would be cheaper to get that with a 3yr Square Trade warranty than this Monoprice monitor.

Although I'm looking forward to buying Monoprice's 27" IPS.
Seems to be 2 versions, here's the one with hdmi for $499, great deal

The 27" took one day to arrive, really fast delivery, except the color is weird, some greenish tone. Tried gamma in Nvidia settings not much effect.

What's the skinny on these? Thinking I missed the type of backlight somewhere, or just wasn't listed that I saw.

Found a YT review of this one, claimed the PS shot craps the day after he filmed the video and the replacement wasn't any better. Seems sketchy to me.
