Since this is a Newegg deal, Please read the recent Newegg reviews of this drive. Many Dead on Arrival and many more died within few months. Either quality control problem of newer drive. Or problem with how Newegg handle the drive at their warehouse.
WD Red Review in Synology NAS Units [storagereview.com]
1 Drive: $99.99 or 5 cents per gigabyte
2 Drives: $183.98 or 4.6 cents per gigabyte
(in units 1000 bytes = 1 kb, and likewise for mb, gb, tb)
The RED disks really should be used only in RAID. Mostly due to the "nasware" TLER settings in the firmware of this drive. They can be used in single disk applications, but its not ideal.

Thanks OP. I just bought 4 of these to put in my NAS for a RAID 5 setup. I was watching the price before the deal went live and it was $119.99. Then it went live and price jumped up to $124.99. It didn't affect me because buying 2+ you get it for $116.99 and after the coupon code price dropped to $92 each. My total for 4 was $367.99
