The G700 is no longer available for shipping and the closest store is miles away .
I submitted the price to Amazon, hopefully they'll step up.
I kinda wished Logitech refreshed the MX Anywhere mouse... Keep the same layout with matte finish, and add a charging cable to the design. I actually enjoy having the scrollwheel be a switch instead of a button with a dedicated mouse button below it. I wish they implement this design in their other mice .

"I like playing Smash Bros. with you, because apparently, you develop Tourette's, and it's fun."
I have a G700, and also like it a lot (my first mouse with Logitech's hyperscroll or whatever-it's-called). However, mine is extremely picky about the surfaces it works on. Some of the the same pads and surfaces that have worked with my G5 for years made for a sluggish and sticky cursor when using the G700 (cloth pads are out, as is the bare wood veneer of my cheap desk). I'd have thought mine was broken if it didn't work flawlessly on some surfaces, like glossy magazine covers and the cheap plastic Alsop mouse pad I eventually picked up from Fry's (some low-profile affair that I really like, actually).
At any rate, I appreciated the plethora of buttons, mouse shape, and wireless capability enough to keep the thing in spite of it's surface limitations. I don't travel with the mouse, and now that I have a pad that does work, there aren't really any further downsides. Well, maybe the relatively short battery life compared to other wireless mice, but I've yet to have it die on me as I'm good about remembering to plug it in when I'm done with it.
I picked up the G500 from the Amazon sale for $31.99 (gift card purchase via kroger fuel point deals) and use it at work. I love it compared to the one that is supplied by my billion dollar employer. My wife is in a similar boat and I picked up a G400 for her work using bestbuy gift cards from previous deals for $10 out of pocket. God knows how many people have used the mouse and I plan to pick up a couple decent fairly priced keyboards to replace as well. I don't mind the current models which are about to be discontinued since you get them for a very fair price. I have been using my G700 for 2 years and love it for home use along with gaming. I have TF2 keys setup on 1 setting along with daily use settings and stock default. Extremely versatile mouse but I will be honest that I leave it plugged in all the time. When I leave my house is when I use the mouse with out a cord and it works just fine. I try to keep AA batteries in my bag but have never had to use it. You can charge the G700 using a regular micro usb cable. I paid $77 2 years ago to amazon for the G700 and now that it is down to $50 it is a steal.
raped the op so many times, it won't let me anymore. Thanks, op!!
I would personally pay the $10 upgrade for the G700 for the extra buttons and the capability to use wireless when you feel like. I got the G500 from the most recent amazon sale for $31.99 and that was priced fairly. At the $40 range I would bump up $10 to the G700 and get a nicer smooth texture, extra buttons, and wireless capability.
Which is heavier, the G500 (without any weights) or the G700 with the double A battery? I'm not even sure why they have a weight tray for the G500 b/c the mouse is super heavy as it is.
1)PLEASE avoid posting about CA sales tax & recycling fees
2)The "no HDMI, deal killer" joke isn't funny
3)Avoid comparing video cards to cars, the price ranges are completely different
4)You are NOT going to call your relative to SUE and if you are, you're wasting time
5)Why does Tigerdirect ask for your SSN? No clue, just don't give it to them
6)Black Friday deals aren't as great as people make them seem.
can anyone tell me the difference between mx performance mouse or g700? Wireless function is a must for me. I heard the g700 doesn't last very long in term of battery?
Both models have had battery issues due to the Recharble NiMh battery, many users have said to upgrade the rechargable battery to 2200, 2400 or 2600 mah and it solves the issues. Minimum lenght of battery should be up to 30 days says Logitech.
I have been trying to decide between the performance MX or the G700 myself, but both have pretty much the same length and included battery if i am correct, any users please reply to correct me.
It is one of those things that you must try and keep track of and if it keeps dying or you have to recharge every 3 days, then you might have a defect which many have experienced, but logitech will definetly help you out.
Right now, the g700 has way more buttons than the Performance MX, and I had my eye on it, but since this is on sale, I am still researching if I should bite and if you have RZ certificates , this will make this even slicker. I am myself debating if the buttons get in the way and how it feels. I plan to use it for BF3, BL 2 and most of my steam library of FPS and Third-person.
