After several calls to the two Grand Rapids Costco's since the start of this thread, my patience wore out and I drove to the Brighton MI store today (2 hours each way) and picked up the receiver. There were 12 left as of 4pm today.

I can't wait to unbox it and set it up, replacing an Onkyo HT-RC260. Completing my taxes can wait until next weekend, right?
if only i knew. I woulda had you grab another for me lol, in GR as well. i should do the same...then again driving for 2 hours there and back 4hours of gas o_O

i do currently have a 9.2 setup on my 7.2 receiver. two high fronts. but how would this be any different? and i dont see any other formats but 7.1 on SOME...blurays.... most are currently 5.1

my thought is unless one wants to bi-amp center and fronts? just trying to justify why i should get this over my onkyo 808 7.2 :/ knowing me ill get it anyways.

8 left at the San Marcos, CA location this afternoon. Set it up up tonight. Had a challenging time getting Time WarnerCisco DVR to play audio with video. Finally stubbled through it and got it working.

This thing has so many options. Huge improvement over my older Onkyo SR309.
And buying it through Costco made it a no brainer.

Dont forget to get your HDMI cables from Monoprice!

I went with the Amazon deal for the Yamaha receiver because my living room can probably only realistically support 5.1. Did I make the right decision or are there other perks to this receiver?

Yep... You can get absolutely craptastic 6 ft.HDMI cables for $4.95 ea., shipped in 1-3 weeks

Or you can go in with a friend, split Monoprice's shipping fees and pick up a dozen 6 ft, quality, lifetime-guaranteed cables for $4.02 ea. and have them in 3 days.

As of 9am 4/8/13. Inventory for stores in Washington State. If it's not listed then it showed zero:

Woodinville 11
Everett 11
Southcenter 12
Silverdale 10
Bellingham 17
Federal Way 10
Aurora Village 11
Issaquah 26

Hope this helps someone!

Between this thread and the one at AVS I am getting more and more frustrated with the fact that the 3 Costco's within 45 mins of do not have these nor do they no if or when they will get them. Arggh!

Same here. I didn’t make the 50 mile drive to a Costco that had them in stock since a store half as far said they were on a truck for delivery that day. Well 10 days later the other store is sold out and the closer store still says they are on the truck! Guess they got lost.

Ha ha sounds like my 3 stores. Each of them has said they were supposed to receive them back on 3/21 (according to the computer) and haven't seen them and have no idea when or if they will.

If it wasn't for the returnability of getting it at Costco I would just suck it up and pay the $100 for one from ebay. I just would hate to get stuck with a unit with issues (some folks have had to return their costco units) and have no recourse to get it swapped out/fixed.

Otherwise I am going to have to find a way to make the 2 hour each way trip to a store that has these.

Guys, Bought one from my local Costco in Atlanta, GA. Plenty more in Stock.

Setup using 9 Speakers without FHR and FHL. But has started giving UE33 Error. Tried loading latest Firmware on multiple USB drives using the front Port. Keeps saying invalid format/file error. USB drive is not even recognized on the rear USB port. Network update wouldn't work either. Remote is frozen because of this Error and won't work. Is it a bad UNIT??

I think the rear usb is reserved for their proprietary wireless adaptor. The front usb may not read your drive if it's formatted ntfs. You might have to reformat it to fat32.

I had a similar issue were part of the remote froze on some features. I did the full reset were you hold down the enter key on the front and powered on. That fixed it for me.
