Picked up two today at the St Louis Park (MN) store - they still had 3 left plus a display model.

I was responding to the idiot who said it was not a "us edition"....
and yes, I agree it is the 65 with cosmetic differences...
Is name calling really necessary? Someone's got anger issues, not to mention overuse of ellipses.............

Davie South Florida still has 4. This is from the original 16 more than a month ago.
Not many people here know about this deal...

Equivalent to Elite SC-65. There are reports that 1522 receiver is not US edition.

both carlsbad ca and the laguna nigel marketplace have stock on these receivers.

if you are not getting any audio out, despite having the inputs setup correctly, it's because that setting is being overridden... using the remote, hit the "signal sel" button, and choose the digital input... the default is hdmi, not what you selected in the audio input setup :-/

speaking of the remote, there are in two buttons labeled "receiver"... when the manual references hitting the "receiver" button before doing things like the above, it's not talking about the power button that's labeled "receiver".

you'll know that there is something wrong when the entire bottom half of the remote is not responding to button presses laugh out loud

FYI, today St. Peters MO Costco had 4 in boxes and display (maybe more in back?)

updated: as of 3pm Monday 4/29/2013 there were 4 in boxes sealed, one that may have been a return in a box, and the display (St. Peters, MO)

looking at the inventory list at the beginning of the thread

It seems that this is more an east or west coast type of deal...granted, with some sprinkle in the IL and NC areas

Almost nothing in the entire center of the country.....Frown

I noticed Ebay has gotten "full" of these recently and the prices have dropped accordingly

Frustrating.... Houston didn't carry this at all. However, Austin, San Antonio, Arlington, has this in stock. When I called two stores, CSR told me that they have Yamaha receivers and unless these sold out they can't carry Pioneer.

oh...I assumed the inventory list at the beginning of the thread reflected the whole country..??..Confused

I really dont need this receiver...as I have a Yamaha a2010 that I bought for $499 a few months back
Thats the only unit, I have, that would make sense using this Pioneer to replace

I have every indication that I would prefer the Yamaha...based on my thoughts on an SC57 I bought a few months back

..and the glut of units has made the Ebay prices plummet....so its not a good flip candidate either

You are right!!! NJ does seem to have a few units available. But nothing in CT. I am not that desperate to drive hundreds of miles on the off chance they might have it. I already have an Onkyo TX-NR809.

I am running this now on Energy Veritas set. The sound is nice and full. From what I heard, this receiver will be best matched by B&W series 6 and up...for the people here that need a suggestion on a speaker set. To get the full usage out of this nice receiver, you better spend 4-5 grand on speakers.
