For those who want to control this receiver from a computer and ready to geek out a bit Wink

For those that want full IP control of this receiver and other components, I highly recommend Roomie Remote app for iOS products. Full feedback and control. Lets me operate this receiver, my 9g Kuro KRP-900M plasma, my Panasonic DBT-110 BR player, my Tivo Premiere, and my HTPC (with MCE controller) all from a single remote without line of sight.

Very easy to setup too, and doesn't require a PC to do so (unlike iRule)

Does anyone know if this has phono inputs so I can hook a turntable up?

Before driving 200 miles from Houston, I called Arlington store. A sweet lady told me that the item number is not in the system, and they only carry home theater system. Saved 400 miles. Mad
Like I said, they had 14 or 15 when I bought mine, and 8 when I was back for some other shopping there last week.

They put 12 on order and are supposed to get that truck tonight. Boom.

Can someone comment how the Infinity Primus P363 speakers will go with this receiver.

they state 8ohms but I read a review stating that they were only 4ohms.

Frys has them for a good price but want to make sure that it will work with this receiver as I have to get them shipped no local frys around here.

Called customer service and they have confirmed that receivers are not part of the 90 day clause of electronics (Televisions, Projectors, Computers, Cameras, Camcorders, Touchscreen Tablets, MP3Players, Cellular Phones). I am glad because bought this before I bought my house being that this is such a good deal and not knowing when I will get my home. Now I feel at ease that if I don't get my home and can return at anytime.

They're spec'ed at 8ohms from what I can tell. The review probably meant that they occasionally will present a 4 ohm load to a receiver (likely during particularly "bassy" segments), but that's only transients. This receiver also happens to be spec'ed to handle 4ohm to 16ohm "guaranteed" (according to the manual), so either way it shouldn't be a problem.

This receiver will drive just about any speaker you throw at it. Lets put it this way - if you're able to buy the kind of speakers that would really make this receiver struggle, you're probably not aiming to use this receiver to drive them.

thanks for your response and explanation.

Now the only other question is given the room size 22X19 will these speakers be adequate. I will add a klipsch sub and infinity center channel and surround later.

From an audioholics review:

"...Sure I had some nits to pick, but the fact that these speakers were able to hit high SPL levels in my nearly 6,000 ft3 room without bottoming out or sounding completely shrill was truly amazing."

Sounds like you'll be fine. nod

All my speakers are 4ohm. The last 4 receivers I owned ran them fine. The 1522 is actually the first receiver I've had that specifically states it can run 4ohm speakers. One of the differences with running 4ohms instead of 8ohms on the 1522 is that the wattage goes from 130 to 210 per channel. Hope this helps.

I also have 4Ω mains, and this receiver drives them beautifully, even whilst bi-amped.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and explain.

The room is 22X19 with 9 foot ceiling and opens to the kitchen.

The sub that I have though of buying is the klipsch rw 12d.

I have now also looked at focal chorus speakers which are for a good price at A4L but $600more than the infinity. I want to set it up right the first time and don't want to keep upgrading. But since I am not an audiophile I don't know if I will heard the difference between the two.

It also has to be wife approved as she want it to match the décor.

How can I make a 7.2 system with this. Most of the speakers in the market are 5.1 only.
