Well I bought the egift cards and have not received them yet. It will be an issue if they TV I want is no longer at the sale price, because I didn't receive my egift cards.

I meant the egiftcards..
This sale has been going on for at least a couple of weeks, and some of the TV's actually had a higher gift card amount before. Samsung is about to release new TV's, so this is their way of closing out this years models. While there are no guarantees that this won't end tomorrow, given the fact it's been on for so long, you are probably OK.

Clearly mentioned in DELL page, that it will take 10-20 days to receive those eGift cards on the TV Purchase in Email.

I got mine within a week via email, valid for 90 days.

If I bought $800 in GC and got the bonus $150 in eGift cards, is there any reason that I couldn't I use all $950 in regular and e GCs to purchase one of these TV deals...and get the bonus eGC in return?

If we pay with eGift cards and promo eGift cards, do we still get the bonus eGift cards?

By the way, the Samsung Series 6 55-inch UN55ES6500 is priced at $1397.99 not $1197.99

Any your point is....
Plasma is King.

to bad most people are like sheep and choose LCD
unless you are using it as a computer monitor most of the time.

Us pros know Plasma has the best PQ.

lol. you should think before you write out that statement. Makes you look ignorant.

Sure plasma may the best...5 years ago, but today's technology beats plasma out of the water. Full LED backlit (the thick newer LED tvs) have the best PQ at this point.

Plasma's are still the best...

"Although it's priced higher and performs worse than the best plasmas, the Sony XBR-HX950 is still one of the top-performing LED TVs ever"

bobma might not be the most eloquent writer, and somewhat of a troll, but what he is saying is correct. Even the best of LCDs don't really compete well with low to mid range plasmas in terms of image quality. Companies are only steering away from Plasma because Plasmas cost more to manufacture, and sell for less money. The margins just aren't there.

With plasmas, you don't need to worry about uneven backlighting (which all LCD tvs suffer from). You don't need to worry about refresh rates, or "continuous motion rate" gimmicks because the motion is significantly better.

Where plasmas failed, was the first few generations of plasmas suffered from that well known risk of burn-in. Leave something on pause for too long and your TV was toast. That has been fixed for YEARS now, and at worst a plasma might suffer from "Image retention" now, which is completely different and very temporary. But to burn in a modern plasma, you'd have to do it intentionally. Most of them have pixel shifting where they are constantly cycling the picture one pixel to the left/right/up/down to prevent burn in automatically. Also, plasmas had a bad rap because they used to use about 4x more power to run than an LCD TV, and would basically act like a giant space heater for your room. That has since been taken care of as well.

But, like I mentioned earlier, the margins just aren't there. They make less money per TV, and Plasmas are heavier so they typically cost more to ship. Plus, with all-glass screens, they are susceptible to breaking during shipping, and if you're installing them in a very brightly lit room with a lot of windows, you run into glare issues during the daytime. So those are the big downsides.

Just commenting. That being said, although I use a Plasma for my main TV, I still think LCDs have their place in my house. I'll be picking a 40" up to wall mount in our bedroom as a secondary TV.
