I cannot for the life of me imagine why you'd need 27" when the same resolution is available cheaper at 24". I have a 27" and love it, but it's much higher res than my 22". If they were both 1080p, I'd probably prefer working on my 22".
Anyway, it definitely seems like a solid deal for what it is.
27" @ 1080p is perfect for the way I use it. My next 27" will be a 1440 though, just need to bite down in the next month or two. I had an original Dell 30" and while damn nice, just a bit too big for my needs - I had to literally "look around" while gaming as there was a bit too much real estate.

Really? A larger screen is also more immerse for movies and playing games. You can also sit further away from the screen which is helpful depending on your setup and your needs. I have an even larger screen and sit back, relaxed, and not hunched over my desk.
FYI, the Acer G276HL is back down to $199 on Amazon again, for those who like MVA panels and are happy with a 27" at 1080p. Does apparently have an AG coating, doesn't seem to get too many complaints for it.
I very much agree with you. They are quite useless unless you use them in a fully dark room only.
The price on this one is good though, just hoping a similar non-glare version will be available at this price soon.
Most likely not for Competition gamers, where 1-2 ms difference could actually mean something, but for most gamers this is plenty. Nicer blacks, richer colors, better viewing angles definitely outweigh the slightly slower refresh rate.
A lot of the TN panels basically cheat on their ms calculations with how they measure grey to grey, so anymore the number is almost useless to compare with. Personally I game on my dual Dell U2311Hs and have never noticed any ghosting, which to me is the only thing that actually matters in the end.
