I was just thinking the other day, wasn't the patent supposed to run out on these things a while ago? That was supposed to increase competition greatly (and lower prices). Obviously, this hasn't happened, but is there any truth to this notion happening still?
Manufacturing a competing quality K-Cup for a lower price and still making a profit is not as easy as some think. Consider distribution, advertising all these things and just because a patent has expired everyone is going to eat Green Mountains lunch? I think it's very doubtful.
