Your "DO NOT COUNT" seems a little harsh. I don't think that any serious powerlifters use this particular gym, but that doesn't mean that a person can't see reasonable results if they use the machine correctly.
Might be harsh, but it's 100% true, and directed to everyone, not just "serious powerlifters."
But you should exercise. Being a smaller size does not automatically mean better health. More and more research is showing that you percent of body fat is a better indicator than total lbs. you can be thin and unhealthy. See NWO (normal weight obesity).
You can be healthy (or unhealthy) at a wide range of weights. That's why the combination of eating and exercise is so important.
Oh I'm not saying you SHOULDN'T exercise, I'm saying I just haven't been. I attempted to take up running, at nearly 300lbs my knees said "no way!" and I was in an extreme amount of pain for a week. The doctor said not to exercise for a month, and then try it again, I decided not to try running at that weight again. Now that I've lost over 30lbs my knees feel MUCH better in just getting up and down, so I think running could be a possibility again, but I think I'd benefit more from weight training.
