3 year limited warranty isn't bad, right? Same price for Samsung 840 but with 840 Pro speeds? Any reviews / benchmarks out there?
It will be a sandforce drive. Check to see if it uses asynchronous or synchronous NAND.
Also, check to see if it has at least 5.0.2 firmware support or later. Earlier Sandforce firmware has a TRIM bug that prevents TRIM from working. All the larger ssd brands have updated firmware but some oddball drives, like a Toshiba that was recently listed, don't even have firmware information posted, let alone updaters, from what I saw. I would check on this.
A 3 year warranty is typical. The drive will use MLC nand which has a longer lifespan (3x or so) of the TLC used in the "840 Series".
should be a good indicator of memory in this case Sync NAND and speed should be better in the 240GB as it increases with # of chips. TRIM is never a showstopper as any decent drives have background garbage collection and they all work fine on OSes that don't support TRIM.
