I was just hoping to get some feedback on people's experiences with Laptops labeled "Scratch and Dent." Thanks

I have purchased scratch and dent and well as refurb. Total of 4 laptops and 2 desktops. They were all in like new condition. I only had one issue with a laptop that wasn't holding time after battery was removed. Changing cmos battery did not help. They replaced the Motherboard under warranty (5 days turnaround). Its running great now.

Bought 2 tablets 1 refurb and 1 scratch/dent and no complaints. Minor scratches on back but screens are perfect. I figure most of their stuff is just corporate returns, product testing or ordered to many.

I have bought 45+ computers from the outlet. Including 8 in the last month. Of all the computers, both desktops and laptops, only 1 had a scratch on the lid. And I also had a desktop that would not boot. I owned it for 5 months before ever taking it out of the box and trying to turn it on. I called the support line. After a 15 minute phone chat, they decided to dispatch a tech to my home. They replaced the mother board. Mined you, I only paid $190 for the desktop.
Reselling Lenovo refurbs has been my bread-and-butter as my 2nd source of income. Of all the refurbs I have sold over the last 2 years, I had one where the keyboard failed. Not one single customer has been unhappy or had a problem, other than the keyboard issue.
Buy with peace of mind.

I specifically look for the scratch & dent ones first when I'm shopping since those are the most heavily discounted, and they all seem to have been in perfect condition to me.

I think the distinction that Lenovo uses is:

New: Ordered but never delivered, or overstock they want to get rid of
Refurb: Ordered & delivered; box may have been openend but machine probably wasn't used & everything looks perfect
Scratch & dent: Ordered & delivered, user opened it & used it before returning it. Some packaging may be missing, but (in all cases I've see) the machine is perfectly fine
