Seems like this store is planning to remodel. They had quite a few things for 50% off. So it maybe to this target only. I haven't check the other stores on this item. They had about 30 of these radios.

amazed that anyone still carry cassette player, I think to date, the cassettes will degrade and stick together, can't play anymore. I do have some miniDV tapes that's relatively new, but the cassettes I have are at least ten years old if not more, and I don't think I've listened with a real walkman for the last 15 years.
BTW, this thing is new, too new for museum.

I've been converting over 40 year old cassettes and the still play fine.

Yep and on a good home deck, it sounds better than most modern overcompressed, loudly mastered for Ipod digital files.

I've also never had a scratch on a cassette prevent it from playing.

To me the best sound is still from a quality vinyl album. That's why vinyl still lives on and why some big artists demand that their music also comes out on vinyl.
