I'm considered a disabled vet, but only 10%. I am registered with the local VA hospital, but no one has ever mentioned anything about a card. Is it a minimum of 30% disability, or any disability, and do you know who I would speak to in order to get the card?
Getting a Vet IC Card can depend on the state or what services you get from the VA. If you are rated then you can get a VIC. Many states are starting to offer state Vet ID cards. To prove service you need to get a copy of your DD214. I have read some companies will take the DD214 for discounts, but that is a pain to carry and has to much personal information.
Only one day a week. Some towns are Tuesday, some are Thursday. YMMV
All of the ones I have shopped at (that have a military base locally), offer it one day a week.
We're military. And have Verizon. That discount is a joke; it's on the FIRST line only. I think we save less than $7 a month.
Firestone offers a 10% discount.
I guess it's YMMV as you said. In DE it's everyday of the week for Walgreens. The Lowes/Home Depot in DE offer 10% discount everyday for active military members and non-active veterans get the discount on certain holidays like Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, etc.
