I'm not a watch connoisseur but I have a Citizen Nighthawk and I love it. The Eco-drive means you likely won't have to replace the battery... maybe ever. And it gets a lot of compliments; not too gaudy and huge and not wimpy.

Any other comments on the eco drive? I've been searching for a reasonable titanium watch for a while, and they've got a couple that are considerably cheaper than other manufacturers.

thanks for the review of the nighthawk! I've been looking to get an Eco-drive for a while now but the Nighthawk seems very busy with a lot of bells and whistles, I would never use.

I really like the look of the Citizen Eco-Drive Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Mens Watch BL5250-02L $192.00, but don't really like the band...

Frontpage in 3...2...1. Nighthawk for $192 is a steal. I own it and love it. Repped and TU OP.

Last time I checked (8/12) Jomashop was not a Citizen authorized dealer.
This may cause an issue if you need warranty work through citizen.

That being said, these prices would be hard to beat, and despite the above issue I considered buying from here when I was in the market for an ecodrive.
Additionally jomashop does offer their own warranty (not sure of the conditions and scope of repair) and seems to be 5 years for most citizen watches.

I cannot figure out how to post the pdf I was sent by citizen at that time, so I will paste the contents below:

"CITIZEN Watch Company of America, Inc.

I own the Nighthawk, and can't recommend it highly enough. At this price, I even thought about buying a second one as a backup.

Eco-drives are awesome. Mine was my favorite daily wear until I received an Omega that I can't seem to take off my wrist. However, on days or trips where I want to be extra careful (watch may get banged up or stolen) I'll go back to my Eco (it's be easier to stomach losing or damaging than the Omega - though it'd still be heartbreaking) and the ONLY time I would have a problem with it is due to the stupid Daylight savings. Otherwise, sitting somewhere out in the open and exposed to some kind of light, it keeps impeccable time. Seriously, even after months of non-use.

My Eco-Drive is also the something on my zombie apocalypse response plan check list to grab on my way out the door. If you've ever read 'I Am Legend', you'll understand the need to keep accurate time. Last thing you want to happen when you're out scavenging is to lose track of time because your watch battery died.
