Vitamin shop is doing BOGO 1/2 off again on their house brand supplements including this protein http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/stor...id=VS-2543
Which compares closely to ON Gold Standard.

Add 2 to your cart and the discount will show up plus you qualify for free shipping. Essentially making this decent protein $36/each for each 5.15 pound tub ( $0.0189 per gram )
I have been using this protein in both the Vanilla and Banana flavors in my daily green smoothies and it tastes just fine when mixed. I have also used the Chocolate Mint & Banana Cream flavors in the past, alone with just milk or water in a shaker and it is also pretty good and mixes well.

The sale is good through the month of April and good on ALL Vitamin Shoppe & Body Tech Brands (price reflected when added to the cart)

There is also CB on sites ranging from 10% on down depending on which site you prefer.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

If you bought the deal I had up 2 weeks ago, you should have a 20% coupon (2nd order coupon)... That puts this deal at under $58 for 10lbs. Thats a slick deal.

actually not that cheap especially after taxes. don't think it's worth it to switch brands considering the negative feedback.

I still have a 5lb jug i'm working on of the chocolate from the last BOGO sale. The protein profile is really similar to ON, but reviews are right that mixing the protein with water is a little harder than ON. Although, if you have a blender bottle, it's not an issue. Also, the taste is different compared to ON. I would say on a 1-10 scale, ON would be an 8, and Body Tech Pro would be a 6-7.

$7.20/pound for 24g protein/scoop seems like a pretty decent deal. I'll keep this in mind.

I like both the chocolate and vanilla. I don't have a problem drinking it at all. I've had Dymaize and ON as well. I enjoy them all.

This is very good protein... dissolves with ease and pretty tasty too. I made solid gains on this stuff.
That said, when I bought this protein it was a lot cheaper. $36 a tub is pretty steep.

Acesulfame potassium is **believed** to be toxic, but no proof or studies have **proven** it to be toxic.
I can't wait to die from taking this, at least I saved money.

Dymatize contains GMO Soy, though it's not listed on various sites including vitamin shoppe. In my experience vitamin shoppe's pretty sketchy with their supplement facts. I'm not sure why GMO is bad but if someone could explain it it would be great. I wonder if it's really that bad if it would be required as a listing?

That's like saying all protein powders are toxic because virtually all of them have this. (Acesulfame potassium)

And this is how the U.S. differs from other countries. We always need to see "proof" (which may never come) before we take action, a dangerous proposition if you ask me.

Toxic may be a bit extreme but nearly all protein powders are highly processed foods. Of course it is always better to get protein from natural sources.

Do the major brands like ON and Dymatrize?

I am surprised I am not dead yet.

Yes, ON Gold Standard and Dymatize Elite both have Acesulfame-Potassium. Bunch of fear mongers on every whey protein deal.
