I've used these guys for about 5-6 months now. I live in GA and connect to the FL server. My ISP is Charter and I usually speed test between 50-60 Mbps on average without VPN enabled. When speed testing to the same ATL servers when connected, I'm still able to hit 45+ Mbps.

Beware, charts that look like that almost always come crashing down.
Right - so when does the DOW and S&P come crashing down? Because they look just like that... hockey sticks.

Can 2 computers use the same account at the same time?
Their TOS says 3 connections (devices) can be used simultaneously.

There is a (hopefully rare) situation when using VPN *could* in fact increase the speed. This is if your ISP is throttling certain types of traffic (over some ports or by doing deep packet inspection). They can't do that when you connect over VPN since they couldn't see inside the VPN tunnel.
It isn't increasing your speed. It has to do with compression algorithms if I am not mistaken.

Decided to order and give it a try. They have a 7-day refund policy if you don't like it Smilie

FYI, I have had their service in the past and I don't like it because their VPNs IPs are shared among the pool of users. This means that every secure site you visit, you will be flagged because other people have used the same IP to visit the site. On the good side, it is extremely easy to use and for the most part, I could connect to each of their gateways at full speed.

No VPN is truly anonymous because the IP you use to connect to the VPN is always logged.
This is what precisely prevents them from tying any IP's traffic specifically to any one person. Several logged in users share one IP.

That being said, they say they log nothing; however, DMCA claims can be brought against the IP addresses they own and this is mentioned in their forums for users torrenting with US gateways.

I like them. They have a nice windows clients that can port forward and fix dns leaks.

I am getting fed up with the lack of PC game and Blu-Ray rip options on usenet. I think I might give this a shot.

A few reasons I can think of for possible uses:
1. Secure connection when using open wifi (such as at a coffee shop).
2. Anonymity such as during torrent activities.
3. Bypass network restrictions/firewalls.

As for the utorrent question, no, VPN will become your sole internet connection once connected so all services will utilize it.
Unless you do your downloading in a virtual machine which is connected to the VPN. This is also another added layer of security. Attach to a VPN on your host machine and a different VPN on your virtual machine to daisy chain them together.

What are you guys using this for mainly? Torrenting without
Is there a way to make it so just uTorrent uses the service and not the rest of my computer (like web browsing)?
I am also interested if this can be achieved.

From their FAQ:

Can I use Private Internet Access with my router?
You can use Private Internet Access with any router that supports consumer based VPN services. This would include OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP. Some routers that are known to support these are DD-WRT, Tomato as well as PfSense. Please remember that we are not responsible for any issues that may arise when flashing a different ROM to your router. Please proceed with caution.
There's a step by step guide in their forum.

You would have to install a virtual machine and connect to your VPN in ther to do your downloading. You then use your host machine for everything else.

Difference is bitcoin has gone up 6x in value in three months. Here's the 3 month chart for the Dow. Not anywhere near similar. Dow has gone up 9% in the same amount of time.

If the Dow and S&P ever went up 6x in value in three months I'd definitely cash out.

Not a bad idea! I wonder if this would impede or enhance your anonymity in anyway?

Coincidentally I've been using this for just a few days, selecting it after considering a number of other VPNs. Setup is pretty easy (a bit tricky with my Android phone but the support forum is quite good.) Super simple for Windows/OSX. I tend to use various open/guest wifi services throughout the day so this made a lot of sense for me. Also I plan to use it to watch extra-regional content.

FWIW the other options I was considering were all roughly twice as much for an annual subscription, even at their normal rate. I wanted this kind of VPN because keeping a PC on 24/7 to run my own didn't appeal to me.
