Nice! Seems like the VIN has a higher chance of eligibility because when I entered my radio code, I didn't get in, but then redid it with my VIN and I did....

I set mine up this weekend. The rep said it would automatically cancel after 2 months and she tried to get me to agree to a paid sub to avoid the $15 "activation fee" should I want to extend it. I politely said no knowing that I will get at least 6 months for $25 with no activation fee later.

I'm eligible and I already have an account that had a subscription with that same radio. So when I login to activate it, it just hangs. Tried from 2 different browsers. Anyone else having this issue?

Worked can't get my car's stereo to stay on channel 184 though waiting for it to get the signal. Luckily I live in a good neighborhood so I have my keys in the car with the ignition on and will check on it every 15min or so and hope for the best.

I really have no use for this anymore as I just stream through BT in my car, but why not, it is free.

I too stream BT but I did try it when they had free weekend and I liked it. I was planning on getting the 5 for $25 deal...

Got this too, just worried about getting a bill to my address after 2 months. I suppose if someone signed up with a fake name/address then they have no way to bill you? I doubt they will use the VIN to track you down.

So clicking the "no thanks I'll renew later" option makes the service just end when it is over correct? I don't really have an interest in keeping this service but I'll check it out for two months free.

They can bill you and send you to collections if you don't pay. If you agreed to it, they can do anything to the fullest extent of the law.

Call me crazy, but I suspect they won't be launching an investigation nor utilizing the full extent of the law to hunt down people who refuse to extend a free trial into a paid subscription.

I had to call when my free one ended from my new car at the end of last year. I was assured it would just end, but then I got a bill. I called them and told them that I only agreed to the free subscription. The girl kept telling me I had to pay for an extra week because I didn't call and cancel. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she came back a few minutes later and said it was canceled and I didn't have to pay anything.

The offer does state this...

If you decide to continue at the end of your trial subscription, service will continue until you call us at 1-866-635-2349 to cancel. See our Customer Agreement for complete terms at www.siriusxm.com.

That type of thing happens with subscriptions (print, especially), but is distinct from a situation where they'd go after you using a collection agency. Here, if you don't pay, your service ends, you get reminders, but nothing more comes of it.
