Why is everyone worried about calling to cancel? In step 2 or 3 you can choose and option to not automatically upgrade. My page says:

Your New Subscription

Audio:

Complimentary 2-Month Trial - Sirius Select
$0.00
End Date: 06/02/2013

With nothing about an upgrade or automatic bill. That was taken out. Just be careful when choosing your options and you should be fine.

Thanks OP, repped.

Thanks JJS1309, Seems like some people are too weary for their own good.

I also chose the no renew option, It does state that you have to call to cancel at the bottom but I'm not sure if they mean if you choose a plan or not. From the way it is stated it appears you have to choose one of the pay plans to be required to call and cancel. Either way it's not like it's a contract, You can always cancel.

"*This is a free, no-obligation trial. No credit card or other payment information is required to take advantage of this offer, only your personal information is needed to set-up an account. If you decide to continue at the end of your trial subscription, service will continue until you call us at 1-866-635-2349 to cancel. See our Customer Agreement for complete terms at www.siriusxm.com. Our satellite service is available only to those at least 18 and older in the 48 contiguous USA and DC. Our Sirius satellite service is also available in PR (with coverage limitations)."

So according to the red there it would be a good idea to call and verify. I set a reminder in my phone's calendar to call on June 1st and verify the cancel.

I think so, It seems like it means only if you chose to renew with one of the plans but to be on the safe side I would. Either way I intend on calling to see what the cheapest rate they will offer me. I have been wanting to get satellite radio since I got my Jetta but have been waiting for a deal like this.

Have fun being transferred from one department to next for hours until your call gets "accidentally" dropped and you have to call again. Life is too short.

With all the commercials, poor sound and lousy repetitive songs, it should be free just like normal radio, since there is no difference anymore.

Just because you don't like it doesn't make this any less of a deal.

I've worked in a call center for Dell so I know how this works. Yes, I'm sure it won't be easy. Leaving any pay service is not, Just ask for the manager and it should shorten the process.

It does not. There is a 7 day trial for that. Although I believe you can add that onto this trial for a fee but it's not free.

I

Just remember once these get you they never stop calling and trying to charge your card..even if you don't have a card, they will say you owe them more money..I had them for 7 years and there still saying I owe them money..might not be worth the hassle..I was a big Howard fan..but he's so tame now..the new Pope may have better stuff to listen to now..

What happens if you put in a fake address? Are they gonna go as far as cross-referencing the VIN's registered addressed with the fake address? If so, let them. More costs associated with it.

Just put in a fake address/phone and be done with.

This is very wierd, yesterday I completed this using the car VIN #, it found the radio id etc. But it didn't work in the car, and now I can't even login to the siriusxm.com site with the user id I created.

I'm eligible and I already have an account that had a subscription with that same radio. So when I login to activate it, it just hangs. Tried from 2 different browsers. Anyone else having this issue?
I had the same problem. This is how I did it:

1. Go to siriusxm.com and log in with your credential.
2. Click on activate radio option next to your radio id and then select free trial

Hope it helps
