Monoprice.com is the best place for inexpensive mounts.
I'd love to paint an area on the wall, unfortunately a very small ground level (1'x2') cellar window just sneaks into the 120" area. Even though it's covered by a foot of mulch from the outside so it's very dark, it would distract my viewing experience. That's okay though, I think a pull down is a decent and quick solution for a first time PJ owner like you mentioned. I should mention I'l be doing roughly 80% of my viewing for games (PC/PS3) and 20% movies/YouTube.
Oh the girlfriend is just as anxious as I am. She wants to see how Minecraft would look. We also have 2 or 3 titles we play together and a larger screen would be better for both of us.
Is there a rule of advice for projector mounts? Or are they mostly the same for my application (drop ceiling)?
Got an open box for $404.99. No remote or power cord (which will run me $35 for both on eBay). I have 15 days to return it to BB should it not be to my liking. I can use an extra PC power cable in the meantime to test I'm sure.
I also picked up an open box HD20 for $404+tax, remote is missing. Did you buy any remote? How did you check used lamp hours?
found one open box without remote for 380. After coming home I checked and It had 1200 lamp hours. Bought the extended warranty too. BB guy said, it might even cover the remote. Haven't tried to get one yet.
