Deal Details

Home Depot is selling a variety of Philips LED bulbs very cheap.

YOU MUST MAKE YOUR LOCAL STORE A MAINE LOCATION FOR THIS TO WORK. Prices are significantly higher in the rest of the country. Some items are backordered. Some can be shipped, others cannot. Gotta look around.

BR40 [homedepot.com] $20 CAN BE SHIPPED

A19 [homedepot.com] $10 LOCAL ONLY

A19 [homedepot.com] $7 CAN BE SHIPPED

BR30 [homedepot.com] $15 LOCAL ONLY

Please don't rail about cheap Costco prices. These are top of the line Philips LED's....great reviews all around.

(When ordering more than 1) 8W A19 No Longer available for shipping. Store Pickup Only now. They show as available, and can be added to cart, but I get this message at checkout anytime I increase the quantity to more than 1: "Your shopping cart contains item(s) which are no longer available online. Please remove all unavailable items from your cart." (shipping address in PA). Tried mobile site for laughs, same issue.

Ah, hell. I don't know if this is a great deal, but the deal history suggests it's at least OK. I ordered 7 of the 8-watt ones to get free shipping.

I'm too lazy to change my store to Maine so the price was $11.xx I ordered 4 to get free shipping. I'll probably stick these in our hallway which is maybe turned on for 30 minutes a day, so these will probably last at least 20 years.

If you look at the life of the bulb and the energy savings vs incandescent it's a no brainer. Versus CFL I think its still a good deal.

The average Philips CFL in my local HD is $8-$9. It is supposed to last 7-8 years (although some dispute how long they last). These bulbs use slightly less energy then the CFLs and last 20+ years.

When you compare the quality of the light there is no comparison. The LED is much better and there is almost no lag when turned on (unlike the CFL).

This is an awesome deal for the BR40's! I've been looking for these, but didn't want to spend $35 for a bulb. $15 off each one and free shipping...can't beat that right now! Got enough for 3 rooms! Thanks for the post OP!

I have a bunch of LEDs I got from Groupon last fall and yes, I will. I think they're great. Very nice lighting.

CFL's suck because if they break, you're contaminating your space with mercury dust, and if you put them in the trash, you're disposing of them incorrectly. Also IME CFL's do not last that long. All of mine burned out within a year. I wont be buying them again.

One more reason to never move. As if the list wasn't forever long already.

I wish they would do one of these co-op sponsored sales in Florida. I need some of those BR30s.
