Wondering this as well. Has the price gone up overnight?
Very probable. Cowboom's prices fluctuate with regularity--more so than most places.

The price went up. Still 400+ in stock (almost all 6 and 7) so there's a chance that the price might go back down.

There isn't a way for anyone else to scan other products yet but I'm able to do it semi-manually.

I wonder if going with a refurb would be the best bet. Some of these seem pretty beat up.

I'd say yes. I bought a grade 6 iPhone from Cowboom and it looked brand new, not a single scratch or dent.

If you don't want it to get banned make the items add-able to card with SD's affiliate ID, I'm sure they'll see how helpful it is and not ban it.
What other cow-ish site did you make ? c.o.w.b.o.o.m.e.r..c.o.m. ?
PS: Don't do it!
Yeah, that's the other site. I don't actually mind doing that cause I don't earn anything anyway. But I'm still on the fence and I'm not sure if I can actually do it.

Nice job! I've been planning to write up something like this myself to monitor various outlets for deals. Mind giving me a head start by letting me know what tools you used to develop the Web parser? I've done things like it with autoit and Java. Major reps to you.! Shoot me a pm
I'm basically just using libraries from the ruby on rails framework. More like of a combination of rails and ruby scripts.

That is great. Repping, whether or not I end up purchasing the laptop.
I am wondering though, where is it getting the $219 price from? The price on the site itself is $239. Is the $219 assuming that the slickdeals posted price is still valid? Or is there some trick to getting the lower price from CowBoom?
Yeah, the price went up overnight. I forgotten to update prices when I update cowify. Frown. Thanks for pointing up the bug tho.

Yeah, it doesn't update automatically. A lot of features aren't implemented yet and I'll try ot get it up ASAP.

Nice. BTW why don't you get your own affiliate ID for the first site ? I thought the site already had one, that's why SD banned you. Blocking a competitor would seem legitimate, but saying "you should not have a choice for choosing the best item so that we can get our affiliate $$$" seems evil.
BTW how do you get the condition of Deal of the Day items when I can't find a way to do it from cowboom ? Is there any way to do it manually ?

I have a feeling that cowboom would reject my request for an affiliate ID because:
1) it's called cowboom _ _ _ which they wouldn't like.
2) it's basically bypassing whatever crap they implemented (their daily deals used to work differently).

Basically what I'm doing is that I'm repeatedly "pinging" the site for updates and storing the that information in my own DB.
