Technically, the iPad mini is slow like the iPad 2. The iPad 3 is much faster.
As for the whole iOS vs Android debate.... ugh. If you have a ton of paid apps you can only find on one platform you should get that one. Saving money then having to re-buy a bunch of apps or trying to find alternatives sometimes just isn't worth it.
Thinking about getting an iPad mini. Do native iPad apps work on the mini or does it only accept iphone apps?
If you have bought an app on you Iphone, you can download the Ipad version of it for free.
And, I dont agree its slow. How do you measure slow? If you can do all tasks and not see it hiccup, then it is not slow. Ex. games like Fifa 13 and NFS work awesome and graphics are great, no lag whatsoever. Netflix works without any lags, and screen is fine. I dont think you need high density screens on small devices like that.
The iPad Mini has a faster GPU than the Nexus 7 fyi. Really it comes down to the apps used though, a Nexus 7 would be better for basic browsing and stuff. If you wanna play The Walking Dead, the new XCOM port, Baldur's Gate, Monkey Islands, Infinity Blade, and more.... those are only on iOS. http://images.anandtech.com/graph.../42748.png
Ok, without trying to start a debate i want an objective opinion on this. I'm debating between and ipad mini or another 7" android tablet. Basically for reading books and comics. I don't know if i wanna use it for something else. Which one would you suggest and why?
i have ipad and nexus.. more apps for free in itune. i have 0ver 500 + games in itunes waiting to paly, put in ipad or just there. android getting there slowly but not much... depend on how you will use this tablet???? but as of right now like my ipad more than my nexus 7
