Thread Details

Fleming's is opening in Beverly Hills and is offering a $50 Dining Credit if you make your reservation through here [flemingssteakhouse.com].
The steaks range from $40-50 depending on what you get and sides are ~$9. Purchase $100 worth of Fleming's Gift Card at Costco for $80 to make this dinner extra slick. So for 2 people with 2 steaks and 2 sides the cost comes out to be ~$68 before tax and tip (though you're really only paying ~$55 because the gift cards were 20% off).

Come before 7pm for Happy Hour at the Bar. 5 cocktails, 5 wines by the glass and 5 appetizers. $6 each.

Fine Print: $50 Dining Credit must be redeemed by 5/31/13 by using the reservation link above. Cannot be combined with other promotional offers or applied toward limited-time offers ("5 for $6 'til 7" menu). Limit one $50 Dining Credit per reservation, per check, per visit. $50 Dining Credit is valid in the main dining room at Fleming's Beverly HIlls only and may be redeemed for any purchase, including alcohol where permitted by state law. Not valid for tax, gratuity or gift card purchases.

Have you tried this? Is there a minimum to getting the $50 credit? Do you do it with the costco gift card as well? thanks.

Worst baked potatoes ever here. Yeah... They somehow can't bake a potato, no real bacon either.

I go for steak. How's their steak? Nice ribeye? Filet mignon? Any comparison to Lawrys the Prime Rib? That place has super-bomb creamed corn, bread pudding, and delicious steak.

Menu with Prices [flemingssteakhouse.com]

For a truly Slickdeal...

Order 1 Prime Bone-In Ribeye medium-well..... Price: $50.50.

Eat 3/4 of the steak and then complain about it being under-cooked.
Wait appropriate time.... and then eat new steak.

Use $50 Dining Credit.

Pull out $1 and tell the waiter to keep the change.

That's what I call a BNG2F. Also known as Buy None, Get Two Free offer.

Uh....okay. I was looking more for some firsthand reviews of the quality and taste of their steaks.

How is flemmings compared to Mastro's? Mastro's was my first experience at a steakhouse and now I want to explore others.

I know, I was just giving you some crap.

I've been to the Fleming's here a few times. I got the Prime Ribeye and Main Filet Mignon. The steak was pretty good... but the sides were kind of outrageous. Definitely not worth $9 to $10 each.

My friend got the New York Strip and it wasn't cut very well. It had a lot of fat and grizzle on it. It was also pretty overcooked, but edible. He said he wanted it well done, but not black. I was kind of shocked that he had the guts to send it back after eating like half of it... but the manager was pretty cool about it.

I'd much rather go to Ruth Chris Steakhouse than here though. But I guess if the price was right... laugh out loud

Of course... with chains like this, unless someone ate at the exact same location you are visiting... the experience and quality can vary quite a bit.

Well that's the thing, I don't know what kind of chain "this" is. For example, I've eaten at multiple Nobu locations and it's incredibly consistent food. This seems upscale (from the pricing), so I am working from the assumption that their quality control is pretty consistent from location to location.

Thanks for the impressions of the one in your city, though!

Prime rib and steak are not the same. Prime rib is simply oven roasted whereas the other is grilled/seared and or roasted afterward and thus crusty on the outside. Fleming's is a decent affordable steak house. If you want to splurge on a good steak, then Maestro's and CUT(in four season's hotel) are more definite choices.

I haven't used this $50 dining credit in particular but have used the ones for $25 dining credit in the past. Most likely the minimum is $50 in order to use it. They have accepted the Flemings Gift Cards (purchased at Costco) with no problem. After all, they are valid forms of payment.

I've had the ribeye at the Manhattan Beach and the filet mignon at the LA Live location. The steaks probably aren't as juicy as Ruth's Chris but it's good deal especially with the Dining Credits and Costco Gift Card discount. Like others have mentioned the sides aren't the greatest. Probably can eat a whole weeks worth of vegetables for $9.

My experience is similar to above. I've been to the La Jolla Fleming's. Prefer Ruth's but wife loves Fleming's, it's more affordable with these deals + costco and the chocolate dessert is also excellent.
