Also, what causes the difference in prices on the outlet? I'm seeing what appears to be the same specs and both "certified refurbished" with different prices.
i think the people that do the pricing are drinking on the job because i got my dell xps 8500 for 407 bucks on the last sale with a gtx660 while lower end graphics cards and i5 processors and half the ram were going for more money then what i paid...
total price of $903 after everything for the following. the code worked. It basically paid for the tax and the 3 year warranty.

I'm confused. Are the coupons for Dell Outlet or regular Dell? The title doesn't mention outlet, but the product links in OP's post go to the outlet and you guys are talking about outlet and items going out of stock. So I'm guessing these are outlet coupons?
I've been purchasing from the Dell Outlet for about a decade now and everything I've received from them the past have looked like new and worked flawlessly. With that said, I recently decided purchase an XPS 13 for myself due to the nice build quality but ended up doing 3 separate returns. 1st one the G, Y, 7 keys didn't work, the replacement unit they sent me after that didn't even detect a wireless adapter - even after a fresh format, and the 3rd unit they sent out to me stopped holding a charge after 2 days. I'm now starting to suspect they cut back on their QC. I'm not thread crapping by any means... Just be sure you check over your system inside and out when you receive it. Good deals nonetheless.
