A few years ago, I bought a TV through Dell and at the time they had the extended warranty at a great price. I never get the extended. This time I was so glad. The TV started having sound problems when I turned it on. The sound wouldn't start for about 90 secondes. It was just a couple of days before the extended warranty was going to expire. I called Dell and someone came out a few days later. He changed a board and fixed it. A few more days go by and now I the TV is having problems getting a signal. I called Dell again and they noted the warranty had expired, but they realized I just had service on the TV. The next day the same service guy comes out and he changes all of the boards. TV is working great again. The service guy did mention if he had to come back, Dell would replace the TV under their lemon policy (even though the warranty had expired). No such luck. The TV works great.
