How do you like it so far? I have a ton of hills, I just hate spending so much on a mower....

i can not use anything now other than personal pace by toro. i do not understand why other mowers do not have that feature.

How are Husqvarna lawn devices? I am in the market for a new mower and line trimmer and have been debating between husqvarna, craftsman and echo.

Used this 5 times so far. Great great great mower.

1) Good for mulching
2) Starts at the first pull
3) Effortless for steep slopes (safer than a riding mower)
4) Cuts .3 acre (without bagging) in less than an hour. About 1/3 is on a steep slope

Old thread but in case you're reading this... Husqvarna is junk. At least this one is. I've had it for a year and its spent half its time in the shop being repaired. Does not self propel on flat ground. Clogs on all grass. I'm soooooo disappointed that it runs worse than my 12 year old Honda mower. My friend's $400 Toro works great on my lawn but this Husqvarna does not. Repair place likes to see me every month because they get paid but refuse to give me a loaner or replacement. What to do?

I agree that I would not buy this. I bought it a year ago and it has already broke a belt (which is a pain to replace) and the underside driveshaft is completely rusted. The AWD is decent but it slows down quite a bit going up steep hills and really only has 2 speeds...stopped or a slow walk.

If I could I'd spend the money and buy the Honda next time.

i got one of these with the honda motor last year ... not having any issues

personally i prefer my fwd mower for the hills that i have ... the front of the yard down to the sidewalk is about a 45 degree slope, 4-6 feet or so up :-( and the awd/4wd husqvarna wheels spin and don't get traction going up ... i use my fwd more because it is lighter and i assist the traction by pushing it up the hill ... pushing the 4wd husqvarna works, but it is so heavy that i don't use it ...

Take a picture of your front axle after removing the "beauty" cover.
