Deal Details

For those interested in a smaller, rugged tablet with 3G/LTE capability, I think this is a great price with free shipping. I have purchased the same item from the seller when it was closer to $200 after coupon and it came in like-new condition. Tablet radio can be unlocked with a code to use with other carriers. MicroSD + microHDMI included as well for extra storage.

Good price and the Ebay seller has sold over 200 at this point. Keep in mind, this is an 8" tablet.

Damn what a catch. Really like the waterproof feature, being an 8 inch, and the price. Must wait for second gen nexus 7 but already know it won't be waterproof =/.

Not in the traditional sense. The SIM card is only for mobile data, which means there is no native SMS/MMS or regular phone dialer. If you have a good data connection you could probably get away with using Skype or Vonage or something similar to make calls over data, but not a regular phone call.

The tablet I received came with ICS (4.0.4 I believe) and I don't think there is away to downgrade. There are rooting instructions online. Once all the AT&T bloatware is disabled, seems to run perfectly smooth for an older generation device. Really like the form factor/scree ration for article reading over the larger widescreen tabs.

Remember to set the tablet to Airplane mode, then enable WiFi to save battery if you do not have a SIM card installed in the cellular module.

Is this really waterproof or is it more water resistant? Can I take this into a rain storm and use it without worrying? Can I drop it into a puddle? (Obviously the water will interfere with actually using the screen)
