What's the reason for this? I'm disappointed now as I could really use this.

I have no idea. I really wanted to get it at this good price too. I guess we can try to pricematch it at the store...

Enjoy! Smilie

Just ordered mine from amazon. Same price, shipping to CA has something to do with Home Depot and not a universal thing.

Those kits suck!
I have 29 rentals and the best stuff to ever use is NUVO it never has issues with chips or peeling.
Works great on old lamanite with no problems.

Can someone comment on this who is in the "know"?

I have the "honey" oak colored cabinets - which I despise. Good cabinets, just hate the color. Want to go white, thus would this be a good kit? Or should I take everything off sand down, and start fresh.

Time, Willingness & Patience I have - experience in Handy work I do not.
I had the honey oak and went to espresso. I did both my bathrooms with this (that way if it was terrible, it would be cheaper to replace). Haven't done the kitchen yet, but its the next project. It's a lot of paint and wait to dry. But, SOOOO worth it.

I recommend to do the bathroom or a small piece of furniture for practice before starting on the kitchen. But do it! You will love it. My friends have been impressed. And it has held up well so far.

Looks great jtroberts. Thanks for the tips, I gave up reps.
I want to do this on my bathroom vanity but I can't see myself having time to do it soon so I think I'll pass this time.
I did my bathroom in a weekend. Started Friday night, done by Sunday night. It's a lot of paint and wait to dry. It makes an amazing difference. (I went from honey oak to espresso with glaze)

So if you have to go through all the trouble of sanding etc. why even bother with the kit? I guess my point is, what does this KIT offer that sanding and painting or staining wont?
It has a liquid sander in the kit. Not so labor intensive.

Quick Question on these, anyone have any luck getting the local HD to price match? My wife wants a color a shade lighter than the espresso, and (at least as far as I can tell) if you buy at the local HD they can mix it at the store and you have a lot more color choices than just the three (please correct me if I'm wrong on this one too).

Thanks so much!
