If you order online you can use urlhasbeenblocked you will get 3% cashback.

Home depot has much for the same price, but they also have a 10$ off 100 spend, and you can also get 3% cashback with urlhasbeenblocked.

I just picked up 40 bags of mulch there

Same pricing at Home Depot. Yesterday it was 5 bags for $10. The saleslady added on a 5% discount.

Wow, this is actually a better deal than buying a truckload from the local compost/mulch yard. Colored mulch is $34 a yard (27 cubic feet.) Or $1.26 a cubic foot vs $1.00 for this deal.

Regular much is only $14 a yard though locally.

Are you talking about 3% at chase rewards? It is down right now.

$2 at my closest Lowe's for all colors but $3.33 at the other local one. What is it with Lowe's pricing? I picked up some brown for the flower beds and around the trees.

yes, and last year I bought some mulch paint and looked brand new all season. black is a good look.

I think that depends on if you buy cheap mulch or not.
my black mulch is still pretty black a year later, a bit faded, but still dark and pretty close to black.

A dummy question, if I put the mulch around my house, could that attract termite?

Yep -- about the same price here for a yard. Usually go get a (utility) trailer load.

Just ordered 20 bags black and 20 brown. Rockin' deal!

They don't even offer delivery. You need a truck or a trailer to buy from a place like that.

I wouldn't want to try taking a truckload home via bags in your car though. You would end up taking like 5+ trips to the store and back. The bags end up being an inconvenience when you need bulk. 2 cubic feet isn't much, so expect to be opening and throwing away a lot of plastic bags.

I usually go with premium uncolored for $17 a yard. I bought three yards of that last year. My front yard has some work to do and I may go with colored to class that up a bit more.

I still wouldn't bother buying much in bags unless it's a smaller project. For larger jobs the conveniences just stack up with a truck. I can get up to two yards at a time, and loading takes seconds. I can drive into my yard (assuming it's not wet, so my tires don't sink in) where i need to use it, and rake it right out of the truck to it's destination.

I'm not an eco nut, but if you are, buy the local stuff, no plastic, no extra gas/diesel for shipping, reduced tree/plant disease spreading issues, ...

Had no joy with Lowes buy-online-pickup-in-store last year. Spent over half an hour in the store while they looked for where they left my order and ended up canceling and driving to home depot, who had brand name mulch for the same price as lowes mystery brand, and they had no trouble locating it.

I don't get black mulch, although its very popular around here. Besides looking like your yard caught fire and you havent gotten around to cleaning up the burned remains, it can increase soil temperatures dramatically vs lighter colored mulches and result in reduced soil moisture. Which is exactly the opposite of what you want from a mulch.
