Thread Details

This is a great price on one of the best Blu-ray players out there. This is a "Universal-Disc" player, so it plays DVD-Audio & SACD in addition to the obvious ones. No brainer...EEK!

This is for brand-new, non-refurbished. Price is only good in store. The web site link below will list the full price. Rest assured it is $199.98 in-store.

ok, sure, i believe you..ebay is ALLL about they buyer...
Yes eBay does favor the buyer most of the time. I never disputed that. eBay irritates me just as much as any other seller.

seems like a good deal

though I will take the 52 over this player for $100 less
the FLAC support is pretty worthless to me...especially since another mentioned how poorly it operated

if I needed the two HDMI outputs that might be worth more...though I dont

I have a Samsung and two other pansonics with two HDMI outs in case I want to pull out an older receiver

No, I meant my Best Buy doesn't have this Blu-ray player in store when I checked the store availability.

and what area you in?.....inquiring minds want to know....nod

Personally...I have somewhat of an unfair advantage

My job has me in a few states in the midwest each month,,,unfortunately Chicago is not one of the areas I work in...Mad
Though its only a short drive out of my territory

However...I think some of the best deals are in the Magnolia's that are not in the extremely large metro areas

They seem to have stuff left over that Chicago area stores( for example) sold out months before

if the store has a MAG and its not a far drive...go to the store and check it out

I picked up a 52 (new in box) recently in a store that said(online) and at the credit service desk...that they had none available

I walked back in the MAG area and walked up to the counter with a new in box unit that they said they didnt have in stock...Wink

Please try going in to a Magnolia location and asking them to find one for you. Sometimes inventory is not sent to the stores directly and they can have one shipped from the warehouse. This usually only takes a few days to a week. There should be plenty of these available for you to find. Unfortunately, the online availability tool is not ideal for the Magnolia business model. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Man are you resellers making big money, wish I can get in but I'm just a poor college student sigh.
Don't worry, an education is more valuable than these soon to be obsolete things on SD. Then when you have a good job, you won't need sd, or could afford more expensive things on SD. For some people, they make a living on resale, times are tough.
Education is something that no one can take away from you. Prioritize it.

Just a couple of reviews on this player for those looking for more info to make a sound (pun intended) decision:

http://www.bigpicturebigsound.com...view.shtml

Lukewarm reviews at it's MSRP, fortunately or unfortunately I just picked up a Panny DMP-BDT220 last month to do the BRay duties and I'll continue use the old school DVD-H2000 for the DVD-A and CD for the audio.

First post, looking forward to contributing more in the future and thanking those who have given us the heads up on the "Hot Deals"!

Regards,
