Morotola SBG901 firware update

Hi,

I bought motorola sbg901 and wondering how do i check firmware version and how do I check if updates are available or not for new firmware?

I have no way to find that under menus.

anyone.

why is it bad? This is my first time with comcast and didnt have much knowledge of docsis 2.0 or anything, I bought it from ebay because it is gateway.

I can sell it and purchase new one if docsis 3.0 make much difference?

Well it is much better to just purchse a docis 3.0 modem and a separate router

check out this modem

For the router you can choose from a wide variety depending on your needs if you are all wireless and have N devices that support 5 GHZ then a dual band router would be a good choice, do you have a couple of hardwired devices then a Router with GB ports is a good choise, external hard drives to hang off the router to allow for network storage or printing the list goes on...
