Thumbs up, it's a good deal and everything...

no x1200, Glossy, no VESA, 7ms...

Basically a TV.

7ms= Refresh Rate is too slow.

Lol. I have a 2ms monitor and a 10ms monitor. It would be hard to tell the difference. It is minute!

its 1920x1080 on 27" this monitor is going to look like a crap

Are you stupid? This is the same resolution as on a 42", granted you are sitting away further, I have a 27" 1080p Asus 3D Vision monitor and I sit less than 2 feet away and it's fine....

Is 27" overkill if I'll be 2 feet away? What about the fact that it's 1080p?
No. I have an old 28 inch I-inc 1920x1200 monitor that I sit about 2-3 feet away from and it's fine. It was shockingly big for like a day or two but then it becomes too small.

Sounds like you have never used one of the Korean 1440p IPS displays.
They are shit. I have used them and am baffled that they sell them as the same as HP/Dell/Apple panels....

This isn't really the place to review Korean IPS, but everyone here would agree that there exists a GOOD RISK for severe performance problems in those ebay monitors. You have no warranty and are out 350+ if you get a bad batch. Some people like risky deals, some people like to have peace of mind.

I was interested in one and read enough negative accounts to decide against, especially for a monitor that I expect to last 4-10 years.

It's a pretty good deal for people who are looking for a 1080p monitor anyway. IPS panels have pretty good picture quality, but some of them will have that 7ms refresh rate which you might not like if you're gaming--honestly, a lot of people won't be able to tell.

Personally, for a 27-inch moniter, I would like at least x1200 resolution. For people who is asking if it "really matters", it does to me since it's a computer monitor and resolution is a little more important relative to screen size--you can tell since you can fit more icons on the desktop.

In either case, this is a good deal; if you're in the market to pick up a large IPS monitor and refresh rate doesn't matter, by all means! Thumbs up.

That is exactly what I was thinking. 27" at 1080. It's a damn TV, not a monitor.

Well, unless you sit 3 feet from your monitor. Or have really bad vision. Or have never actually used a x1200 monitor. Then this is a super deal Cool
