Update: Amazon Printer [amazon.com] and Luster Paper [amazon.com] (semi gloss is more expensive at amazon) has the same rebate now, so it's $130+tax (on the full amount) there, now. Make sure you buy the paper from Amazon, not a seller. The default is currently a seller. Here's the Amazon rebate: Amazon rebate [images-amazon.com]

Printer supports printing on up to 13"x19" paper (as well as CD/DVD media). It gets outstanding marks for picture quality and longevity in review http://www.imaging-resource.com/P...n-pro-100/

FYI, I've personally never had a problem with the Canon rebates. I imagnie some people have, but I've done probably 10 of them over the years with no hassles.

Very hot deal if you want a top of the line color printer. Buydig has the Canon PIXMA Pro-100 [buydig.com] for $399 with free shipping with a Buydig/Beach Camera Rebate [152.254]. If you add the Canon Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss [buydig.com] for $69, the rebate becomes $300, so you get the printer+paper for $399.99+$69- $300 rebate - $169. Free standard shipping in the US. Tax for NJ residents, I imagine. Runs $365-400 elsewhere.

Can you guys clarify something.

Why do you say to buy from Amazon when the rebate says no market place?
I don't know if I understand your question, really. The basic point is that amazon.com is basically a portal selling for lots of sellers -- Amazon.com LLC (or whatever it is, legally) being only the main one. The rebate seems to be specifically only for stuff you buy from Amazon, not from "[marketplace] sellers". So, it's safe to do this if you buy both the printer and paper from amazon.com but if you buy either one from one of the (less expensive) "sellers" then you may be in for an unhappy surprise later.

The rebate on the first post indicates the rebate is valid if you buy it from beachcamera.com or buydig.com.

OK, now I get it. This is essentially a post with two separate but related deals. If you buy from buydig, use that rebate form. If you buy from amazon, you need their form. I guess I'll update the original post to add the amazon rebate form. Sorry about the confusion.

No cheap inks for the pro100?
They only ink that is unavailable at this time is the light gray. All the other inks have off brand equivalents.

What they don't have yet is off brand cartridges, meaning ink carts with chips so the printer sees them as new.

But, frankly, you shouldn't use them anyways since they can damage your printer. The better method, and also the cheapest, is to refill your own cartridges.

Precision Colors makes good inks that work fine in this printer. I'd suggest the entire CLI-8 set meant for the IP6600/6700 (and other printers) http://www.precisioncolors.com/C6B.html

Then a gray refill from the CLI-226 line http://www.precisioncolors.com/C6C2.html

Unfortunately, for now, the only option is to omit light gray and use regular gray in both spots or to use one OEM Canon light gray cart

The main downside right now is that there are no chips available so you will have to disable ink monitoring on your computer (very easy). There is also no chip resetter available at this point. The carts are clear so its not a huge deal

Also, this printer is actually using a CLI-8 rebranded ink cart, so those fit perfectly. They do however use different chips so the monitoring problem is not solved

No. The items have to be on the same invoice.

you can buy the LU-101 paper for even less (for those trying to resell, not keep) and it will work as well.

Choose amazon as the seller

Thanks and repped. I originally followed your link and bought the wrong paper. Had to call and update my order. My paper is now on backorder and shipping separate. Was hoping to buy it from Amazon but apparently I can't.

Hmm ... Promo id are different for amazon & buydig, so I can get 2 rebates on 2 printers?

This may be rhetorical comment but I don't know why people buy this grade of printer and feed it non-OEM inks. I work for a company that makes inkjet printers, not HP, Lexmark, Epson or Canon, and I can tell you that the ink engineers are extremely smart people who dedicate their professional lives to making great inks. I've never had non-OEM ink perform anywhere are well as the original and some of them even clog the printheads if you let the printer sit for too long, i.e. a month or more.

For my home office inket printer, which prints monochrome 95% of the time, I use the cheapest non-OEM ink I can buy and if it breaks the printer I just buy another one for about $30. For my photo printer I use nothing but OEM inks.

I couldn't agree more, as far as the inks. My personal solution is similar: nice printer with OEM inks and a networked laser printer.
