Original Post

If there is any SDer out there who didn't get this the past few times this went FP. Here's another chance.

Walmart lowered their price on the Philips Norelco G370/ 60 All-in-1 Grooming System to $10 again!

Even better, it once again qualifies for $0.97 shipping (was $5 shipping during the past week or so).

I just got my notification that my order from the last deal is finally available for pickup. But since I hate lines I just placed a delivery order and I'll let the other one fall out of the pick-up window. Too lazy to drive and wait Wink.

I received mine from Amazon and you truly get what you pay for in this case.

Things I did not like:
-No cradle to set the trimmer in or any of the attachments.
-Attachments are stored in this very cheap bag. (I cant stand the way the material feels, qq)
-Charging cable plugs in underneath the trimmer so it has to lay down.

It's great for those on a budget. I gave mine away and decided to spend extra on the multigroom pro on ebay.

I would recommend this to anyone who is comfortable going really short and not using the guide. The guide for haircutting is pretty terrible and was getting clogged instantly when I tried to use it. I just took it off and buzzed my whole head without the guide and it was a quick, easy process. It is very light and cordless when it's not being charged, so you have great maneuverability. At 10 dollars, it pays for itself in a single use.

I haven't tried any of the other features (nose/beard, etc)

The points you've mentioned have nothing to do with it's primary purpose - cutting hair. While they're all true, it's a really good product at a really good price.

I've been looking for a replacement cordless trimmer. I use it to buzz cut my head before hitting it with my razor ( I shave my head ). Will this guy fit the bill?

Anyone knows if I can use this with my poodle? or are dog's shavers different from men's?

Agree, and wanted to add that there's no protection for the attachments, so the foil shaver esp. can be damaged easily. I was hoping to use this for travel, but don't think that is a good idea.

It is nice and sharp and I'm happy with it for $11.

This is not very wide so it would probably take a long time.

I saw this trimmer a few days ago and decided to get 2 for just facial hair trimming, since it was very reasonably priced compared to what I was using before. I was coming from the Remington trimmer here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003RC79UM/ (which costs 3 times as much as the Phillips one)

Comparing the two:
The pros of the Phillips is that it shaves smoothly without getting caught on any hairs, the Remington one gets slightly more caught. That being said, the Remington one does trim a lot closer than the Phillips. So if you're fine with that, this one might fit the bill. I might leave the Phillips as a backup and go back to a replacement for the Remington I had gotten since it does do a closer trim.

The negatives of the Remington is that if you're not careful, the DC plug and/or the receptable on the trimmer will gum up and after a good amount of gum basically refuse to charge after trying to wiggle the charger. The other (long term) negative is that the blades on the attachments tend to slowly distort or get unscrewed over time, losing some efficiency. I've had to buy at least one of the Remington's a year because of the gumming issue.

I have no experience with these, but they are other options from Remington with different functionality:

I've had one of these for 3-4 years. Battery life has gone done to 10-15 minutes on a full charge. One lame aspect of this product is that it doesn't charge while in use. You need to turn off the product in order to charge it.

I also wish they had longer clip lengths. The longest setting, which is a '9' on the clip is about 1 inch, though I would love to have a clip length that goes to 1.5 inches.

Would also like the width of the blade head to be wider.

For $10 I can't complain and it gets the job done.
