box may have been exposed to water
Sounds a little fishy...
Might have some fish in it!
Ebay speak to human conversion: these boxes were sprayed with water when the warehouse caught fire. You'll pay almost list price for this, it'll probably be a piece of crap, and you're stuck with it. Thanks for helping the insurance company turn a loss into a profit.
"New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging (where packaging is applicable). Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag. See the seller's listing for full details."
"Box may be slightly damaged, box may have been exposed to water"
I'm pretty sure that very few retail boxes that I've seen are damaged and/or wet.
I ordered it, unit is brand new and the outer shell had indication of some sprinkles of rain. So it was not real water damage. Unit was sealed in original packaging and in perfect order. Saved me about $50.
Calling it insurance loss is injustice...
