Do you think people with "high arches" ran barefoot back in the early days of man? Heck no. They strapped on some Nike Air Swooshes and chased a mastodon. Or, they commanded the flat footed, barefoot slaves to do the same for them! People with high arches are very special and tens of thousands of years of wearing cushy running shoes should not be gone against. It's unnatural.
This rocked it!

Picked up some a few weeks ago from this deal. Definitely need to break yourself into these. But I like 'em, kinda freaky looking and a conversation starter at the gym. Going to get some more...

Seems true to size if you use the European > US conversion tables but I'd recommend trying them out at Footlocker just to be sure. I'm a size 8.5 and 42 worked for me.
Unless you own some I recommend going to store and trying on when returns require out of pocket expense. Vibram sizing chart helps but I feel is incorrect. I got a 42 as recommended after measuring foot(10.75)and I couldn't raise or flex my toes up at all. I needed a 43. Also, my TrekSports are slightly tighter than my KSO both are 43. For reference I wear 11(45 Euro) in most running shoes. The fact that you wear an 8.5 and settled with a 42 just proves my point even more.
Like previously mentioned save 5% or more with Cashback rebate sites like Mr Rebates ect. Got these [6pm.com] for $38 after CB last time Smilie

I ordered these last time it was on slickdeals and the sizing was very off. I ordered 11-11.5 US based on what I usually wear and the receipt showed that was size 43. [imgur.com]

But 6pm's sizing chart (which I didn't double check before ordering) shows that size 43 is actually 10 US. Sure enough, the shoes were too tight.

I should have double checked, but 6pm's info was also wrong. So double check that sizing chart before buying. My brother is getting a new pair of shoes and I'm going to order a size or two bigger just to be safe.

They only have the gray/camo scheme for the KSO, which IMO are the best all-rounders, too bad it's ugly as hell!

I wonder why the treksport mens and womens are priced so differently. I purchased the treksport in womens and they were $100 down to $34.95 ($33.20 after cashback), but in your link the mens were $100 down to $75. Weird!

in for a pair of bikila ls's. my first pair of five finger shoes, although i've been looking for them for awhile. this seems like a good deal. i live in europe and wear a 42 here. my us size is either 8.5 or 9, depending on the brand. the websites conversion looks off, at least on the product page. if you follow the link to the conversion table it's correct. i'll use these bad boys for beach running when i'm at my place in NC every summer.

I know the "evolution" argument is the one most commonly cited in support these shoes, but the scientific articles I've read are mixed at best.

By that logic, should we not wear any clothes at all? No hard hats, no raincoats, no cold weather gear.......

I ran a half-marathon (13.1 miles) one day and switched to these the next. One month of training later, I ran a 10k (6.1 miles) on the KSO's and was dying! Why? Because I was using a ton of muscles below my knees that were dormant for 30 years when using running shoes. So yes, people buy these and think they can run 5 miles and they shouldn't. Just pretend (if you get these) that you're starting running from scratch and you'll be fine.

I would assume the sizes in these are different than regular shoes. I normally wear an 11 US, 44 European, but in regular shoes you want to have a good 1/4 inch of room between your big toe and the end of the shoe. I'm assuming for these you don't want that much room. I went to the Vibram site, measured my feet as they instructed, and sure enough they recommend size 43. My feet measured just under 11 inches.

Good price. Picked up a pair of the KSO's last year for a lot more. Although they're not intended for water use, I like them for kayaking and stand up paddleboarding.

Was skeptical of Vibrams because i was flatfooted and had become a slave to the "cushy running shoes". I got a pair of New balance that had had vibrams sole and was amazed how much better my feet felt but this was not immediately your foot and body have to get to no cushion but will def buy theses as my new balances are now toast.

THIS!

Anyone who thinks they can replicate their regular distance in FiveFingers will likely get injured. Develop a training plan when switching to minimalist shoes.

When seeing someone wearing these I can't help but think "uh oh this person is a dirty hippie" but that's just mean Stick Out Tongue Plus I've always been interested in them myself

Anyone with really wide feet use these? Like most shoes I don't think my wide feet would work with these shoes.

Mostly I wonder about the temperature of these shoes, I hate having sweaty/hot feet. When it gets over 100 degrees here my feet get so friggin hot it's ridiculous.
