When seeing someone wearing these I can't help but think "uh oh this person is a dirty hippie" but that's just mean Stick Out Tongue Plus I've always been interested in them myself

Anyone with really wide feet use these? Like most shoes I don't think my wide feet would work with these shoes.

Mostly I wonder about the temperature of these shoes, I hate having sweaty/hot feet. When it gets over 100 degrees here my feet get so friggin hot it's ridiculous.
They're stretchy in all directions, so I don't see why you would fit them fine. (Although you need to try them on for length.)

Received mine today. The measurements on their site were spot on. I bought the toe socks someone suggested (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...os_product, $6.43 when I purchased a few days ago) and I am glad I did. I tried wearing one shoe with and one without and the shoe without seemed to feel too much of the shoe (different feel in the big toe etc.) without the sock. Worth a try for other newbies like myself.
Just starting the suggested transitioning. Fingers crossed!

I'm not trolling here, just trying to figure out why these are so popular right now...

Doesnt it hurt when you run because theres no cushion under the soles of your feet (from like gravel and what not--- what about risk of perforation from small needles or nails)? Wouldn't this expedite process of joint damage because of additional stress on your knees (akin to the additional force on your knees when you run downhill constantly)?
