People want to know how to connect these to different devices. I got one and have connected it to various devices.
Raspberry Pi - Works perfectly with the following items.
You need Micro USB to USB Converter - ebay link [ebay.com]
Male to Male USB Cable - ebay link[ebay.com] < This listing has ended, but you get the idea of what you need.
Micro HDMI to HDMI Converter - ebay link [ebay.com]
Anything else that provides HDMI output.
HDMI Coupler - ebay link [ebay.com] along with Micro HDMI to HDMI converter linked above.
Any smartphone or tablet with HDMI output, you can get the HDMI Converter & Coupler and use the display.
You can use this dock with a computer. The keyboard works like a charm along with LCD display. Of course, you'll have to use adapters to convert the signal.

The 500 model is the 'pro' model therefore more expensive surely. I was considering buying one from ebay which fluctuates dramatically and condition is usually used at a reasonable price point. I wonder if any charges acrue from the use of one? If not, then one less worry (avoiding tethering charges!)
I had a lapdock for my Droid Bionic. I used it for maybe 3 hrs and it crapped out. I sent it to Motorola for repair and I sent all the required information (invoice and such) and they denied the repair. They would never tell me why. The device was always put in the original shipping box when not in use. The keyboard and the mouse would not work at all. My son and friend have Droid Bionics also and it would not work on either of theirs either. Just giving a heads up.
Also this same device here for the Atrix 2 is on clearance at my local RadioShack is only $19.99
can I use a verizon droid razr maxx with this lapdock?
if it's a 10.1 screen, i believe it's the lapdock 100
I've bought a few of these types of docks in the past, You generally have to unscrew and open where the connectors plug into the Maxx and flip them around 180 degrees, but should be doable enough without drilling even if you're comfortable tinkering around. Works fine with mine.
