Check your battery if it has a blue sticker on it, logitech may advise you to try using plyers to pull it out, i told them it's too tight. I suppose that if you're able to binge the battery off the case you'll get a battery replacement instead.
So here it goes:
1. Check if you qualify: Must have a harmony one remote (doesn't matter if it was a refurb or bnew), must have a blue sticker on it.
2. Email logitech let them know that battery is swollen, wont hold much cahrge (mine lasted roughly 6 hours after whole day of charge), battery is stuck, tell them that you've tried using some tools to pull it out but it was too tight. http://www.logitech.co
3. Logitech will reply asking for some remote and shipping details and a photo which includes both the remote's P/N and receipt.
You can call them too but my email transactions with CS were done within the day, very impressive customer support. They are aware of the problem and would offer a replacement without even asking.
Logitech ships the new remote for free.
You don't need to send back the old remote, they will deactivate it. so might aswell do some program for other TV system before you call so you wont need to sync the device and probably apply their deactivation.
Some users still prefer the One over Touch, not sure if you could still get another One for replacement.
Warranty period doesn't matter, they give one time courtesy replacement for out of warranty units. Mine was about 2 years old, I've read others had their 3-4 year old harmony one getting replaced too.
Got mine refurbished $99, my receipt showed that price and still gave me a replacement.
