Blues are amazing for typing and RTS-type games. Obnoxiously loud, though. For those unaware, the blue keys make an audible/tactile "click" as they are pressed. Browns/Reds/Blacks only make noise when they "bottom out", but these blues are designed to click near the very top of their motion. Many people love them because the tactile response makes it immediately apparent if you have pressed a key or not.
Not sure about who manufactures this board, though. Some of these new gamer-marketed mechanical keyboards have notorious hardware failures and poor build quality. Do some research or wait for a more knowledgeable SDer to fill us all in
Also, please look at the layout of the keyboard before blindly buying it. You might notice that a large portion of the keys on the right half are missing ;p Most gamers may not notice if they are your normal WASD user, but I have spent almost 20 years gaming on the right half of the keyboard, so using this would be almost impossible.
I've had one of these in Red for ~3 months now. Build quality seems on par with the Quickfire Rapid series. The USB cable and cable routing grooves are actually better on the TK. Whenever I pick up either of my Rapids, the cable falls out of the routing groove. I really like both the TK and the Rapid.
edit: For comparison, I've also owned a Das Ultimate and a Rosewill Blue. As far as construction, the Rosewill was essentially a full-sized version of the Rapid (solid like a brick) but the USB port doesn't work any more. The Das was very pretty, but the build quality was pretty poor. Lots of flex, and the two halves of the casing didn't actually mate properly.
have the tenkeyless version of this keyboard. Switch debate aside the keyboard is built as well as $150 keyboards, its heavy and built rock solid.
I love the blues if you won't be disturbing anyone with the noise, my favorite switch for basically everything. I also have a keyboard with reds for other applications, and I like these too. Different feeling switches, but not really better or worse... just different.
Browns suck. Browns are like a middle ground between blues and reds that can't decide what it wants to be, so it isn't a nice tactile click or a smooth stroke but something in between, like reds with grains of sand stuck in each switch. Don't half ass two things. Whole ass one thing.
