Apparently they used ball bearings or buckshot, and a lot of body parts were flying. Who ever did this accomplished their goal and can burn in hell.

A big thank you to all of the law enforcement personnel, emergency workers, and anyone else stepping up to help those in need while potentially putting themselves in danger of further explosions or other actions. It is always an amazing thing to see in these terrible situations how so many people can selflessly take action without regard to their personal safety.

I couldn't agree more. So many people complain about law enforcement but when you see how scared everyone is and running away from the area... just look to see who is running into the heart of the danger.

The Boston Police haven't made a statement yet, there's a news conference scheduled though. However the Boston Marathon officials have said they were bombs.
