Anybody able to use the $75 off coupon on this?
Also, where are some more reviews? Only one I saw is through B&H, which is very negative.
Yeah, I'm curious as well if anybody has been able to use the $75 coupon?

Thanks

Just bought this using $30 off. It applied even though says excludes computers.

Was torn between this and the Lenovo for $70 more mentioned above but I have a Lenovo at work and it has issues , I have an ASUS netbook years that I like so I stick with ASUS. There was a slickdeal thread on an upgraded version of this laptop, 8gb ram and bluetooth for $60 more but no tax from Adorama through buy.com but deal looks dead so no not even a consideration,

I used it online.... it was attached to their promo book they send out to selected customers in mail

it basically offset the tax

too bad this has a big slow 5400rpm hard drive. Seems like a waste. I can't bring myself to go with anything but SSD.

$455 shipped and taxed.

Not bad for the specs. But personally, I wouldn't buy a W8 laptop w/o touch unless it was a screamer of a deal.

I need a small Windows PC to stick into my living room entertainment system. I am thinking I should just get this laptop and use it instead. Would there be any problems if it was always closed and used only through HDMI and a wireless keyboard?

Isn't the deal at ebay for Asus laptop better. This one is ultrabook with better specs and no tax for most states?

Any suggestions

I bought the K55A-HI5014L version of this and its been a great laptop plus I only paid $260 for it only clearance at BB plus I had $40 worth of rewards I used on it. The keyboard on it is not the best I have used but its not the worst either. I really like the look of it and the texture gives you a nice grip feel to it when carrying it around. I didn't go out of my way to buy it I just bumped into a deal on it when I picked up a couple of other clearance laptops.

This one is $100 more and you are buying from fleabay instead of Staples. I am from NY and I know Adorama - I'd rather buy from Staples.

Also I had $30 coupon which offset the tax.

The only thing this seems to have extra is the SSD for caching - it seems to be similar spec'd to the Lenovo posted earlier in this thread for $499 at Staples. So I'd sooner go with that one The ebay one probably has Bluetooth like the Lenovo which is another plus - though not sure.

The ebay one has a U processor which is slower. On the plus side of the slower processor - most people wont notice it and it extends battery because it uses 17w instead of 35w.

Still Id rather save the $100 and go with the one in this post.

$300 as roller9 mentioned would be an awesome deal - tough to come by for these specs. I think this is a good deal, not amazing if you can get your hands on a coupon that works.

People keep knocking W8 on almost every current laptop thread, yes W8 is designed to maximize touch screens nevertheless its whats being sold on the majority of new laptops today - its not hard to install W7 or even better classic shell on W8.

How's this compare to the Dell XPS 14 deal from the other day?
