Lenovo Also has Bluetooth. Anyone know if the Ssus had backlit keyboard?
Best Buy has a similarly speced laptop for $100 off right now which does have a backlit keyboard, which I can confirm from personal use is nice.

How's this compare to the Dell XPS 14 deal from the other day?
XPS 14 had much better specs. Better screen and a video card.

Lenovo Ideapad U510-59355296 also pretty decent deal IMO. 15.6 inch screen with i5-3317U processor, 6GB DDR3 and 750GB 5400RPM Hard Drive plus 24GB Solid State Drive for $499.99. SKU: 990645

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from the Lenovo. I bought this exact one for my wife a few months ago and it is horrible. While the laptop itself looks great and has nice specs and a nice sleek design, it's the worst laptop I've owned. The touchpad is buggy as hell and the laptop randomly reboots itself if left unattended and it goes into power savings mode. Also, it has known wifi issues. When the battery gets to 20%, the wifi turns off and there's no way to turn it back on. Plugging it in or rebooting does not help. On top of that, the OS isn't even installed on the SSD, which makes absolutely no sense at all. Lenovo tech support is pretty useless. Look at the reviews on Amazon and you'll see what I'm talking about. Save yourself the headache and just stay away.

Doesn't OfficeMax have a 20% off coupon? Doesn't Staples honor competitor coupons?

nevermind....discount does not apply to computers. But you can still try and hope they miss the fine print.

1366x768 and intel integrated craphics (abysmally bad) kills the deal, it's just a horrible resolution at 15.6"!
AMD APU A8 or better laptops with at least 1600x900 resolution pop up on Slickdeals for around the same price or less often enough,
with far superior gaming graphics, photoshop and other capabilities.

For most people who need a laptop in this price range, it would be better to wait for one of those. nod

Good point on the New vs Refurb. Personally I would choose Refurb with better specs over New anyday.

Dell deal was less ram, smaller hard drive, slower processor, and refurbished.

I have a 11.6" and a 15.6" laptop, each with 1366x768 resolution. I much prefer it on my 15.6" laptop over the 11.6" one. But that's just experience talking. Big Grin

i5-3317U is much slower than i5-3210M

1.7 GHz vs 2.5 GHz

Yeah but 15.6 in screen @ 1366 x 768 seems a lot worse. Also, ram is upgradeable and cheap for the dell. This thing only beats it with being new and 25% faster processor.

If it had at least 1440 x 900 res, I'd bite.
